Today at my house I feel that Fall has arrived, the air is lighter, and cooler, rather than the heavy humidity that was in the air a week ago. I have tasks that have to be completed to welcome Fall weather and complete my summer season. In the assessment of my tasks that include wrapping up my summer and unveiling the fall season to enjoy changing of the warmer to cooler climate and eventually prepare for winter, I realized that I have been very selfish or at least self-centered concerning others. Let me explain about my selfishness it is that my tasks this summer have revolved around me, without taking time to help others. For me this has been rationalized that I deserve more, or I am just simply too busy to take time to help others. I have procrastinated about the tasks I know need to be done, because I was “simply too busy” in my mind to help others. I want to change my mindset for the beginning of Fall and hopefully help others avoid this type negligence in their own life.

Especially at the change of the seasons it is a great time for self reflection basically you build on what is working and change what is needed. For me I want my tasks to reflect what I claim my mission is in my life, where I spend my time should be what is most important in my life. For me I receive great pleasure helping others and I am disappointed that I became so self indulgent and I will start today to change my daily tasks to help where I can.

Thanks for reading my thoughts and I truly hope that you can find a way to be happier today, maybe even help a neighbor!

Keith
