After I read the news I realize that we all need to feel bigger than just ourselves, this is why so many people have joined political based groups. or speaking against something that they feel is wrong. The bottom line is that people want to feel that they are making a difference, no matter if this is in a group or individually, I agree that it seems more effective if we team up with other like minded people to form a group that wants the change that you envision. I am not trying to persuade anyone that I know the proper course of action that people should follow, instead I am inviting people to get engaged in an activity to help others in their communities. During a snow storm I helped shovel snow between my neighborhood and the local school on the connecting sidewalk and I felt motivated for a week, after the soreness healed (from shoveling). My point is there are so many small gestures in our own communities that could help someone out, and you get benefits also.

I see so many people online that want to blame somebody for a wrong that everyone can agree needs corrected, why not participate in a solution if possible. Imagine the improvement in everyone’s quality of life, if we stopped blaming one another and started working to find solutions, especially with small things like snow shoveling. In the time a group of parents talked about the solution of who was to blame for the snow that wasn’t cleared in my community, several likeminded shovelers had the walk cleared. I want to be part of the solutions rather than the discussion of why it happened in most instances, I have found there is usually a solution that is faster without assignments of blame.

Today I still realize that I am just an ordinary guy that is searching for the all encompassing happiness that many are still trying to unearth in their own life. I can’t speak for others but as for myself I know that working to find a solution, or working with a group that is helping others in my own community is a wonderful place to start to find my happiness and help others.

Thanks for reading this far and I hope that this will motivate someone that cares for their community and just wants to help!
